Howdy, how'd I do and other questions
Hello to all, I have been enjoying this site and all the forums for some time
now, finally decided to give CRH a try today. This is my first post, hope I
don't mess it up too bad. I got $90 in halves at one bank
and found a 66 Kennedy. Went back and she was happy to take the rest back.
I asked about what was in the vault and will pick up $600 in halves tomorrow.
The head teller didn't want to open the vault anymore today, I live in a very
rural area in a small town with 3 banks. I have small accounts at all 3.
I decided to check another bank and the teller said she had $400. in halves in the vault. I said I would take $200. She came back and said that all but $160
had black marker lines so I received 4 rolls with marks with my $200.
I didn't think I would run into marked rolls in this small town but there must
be someone else with the same idea as me.
In the first roll I found a Canadian "64", I believe this is .800 silver?
Also found one "67" and one "68" kennedy in the remaining rolls.
I found a very shiney but well circulated bicentennial. The mint mark appears
to be D filled in with metal. I also found a bicentenial with some letters missing
or barely visable in the Independence Hall lettering on the back. The letters around these missing letters appear normal. Are these two coins anything that
I should save or just common oddballs? Thanks in advance for any answers.
I guess I have to search some to figure out how to insert an avatar. T
