Early 1900's cap gun....you can see there is no rivets or screws just simply folded everything over.

Welcome to the Artifacts Forum. You have some killer points, thanks for letting us have a peek. John

Wow you have a really nice collection. I especially like those hard stone tools!

Real nice stuff, and thanks for sharing! What's the story on the artifact in the 7th pic.? Is it drilled, and from IL. Thanks in advance! Welcome to the board! Hope you didn't have to sell any of those.

badandy

Thanks Guy's and Girl's,
Yes I made it Molly..thanks for directing me to the site.
Badandy I think you are talking about the fish bone it actualy isnt drilled they are already like that when they already have a hole when they come off the fish in my opinion it is a catfish horn I find fresh ones all the time but this one here was found on one of the campsites I hunt and I am assuming they used it as a bone awl as you can tell from the pic it has alot of age to it.

I have also recoverd bison teeth and bison jaws from these sites my brother had convinced me the jaw was just a cows jaw and I ended up throwing it away but I know for a fact it was of prehistoric age the teeth was so old they was blue and purple in color.

Also I have recoverd 2 decent sized bear teeth or possible mountain lyon teeth but sold one and cousin sit on the other one and broke it to dust.

I have a few bison teeth and a historical deer or elk jaw see pics below.

And the last to pics are of an unknown object I cant convince anyone that it was associated with the native american camps I am hunting but until someone tells me exactly where it come from or what it is I will continue to believe that it was used by the particular tribe in which I am recovering most of my artifacts
any opinions on it are welcome.

Rob, welcome to the board. Very nice pieces in your collection. Thanks for sharing them with us.

That last piece in your last post, could it possibly be a piece from and old Chess Set? Maybe not Indian at all and just something very early settler. Just a thought.

Thanks,
I am not sure on the chess piece I will look into it tho.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
