I'm usually hunting the beaches here in SoCal but it's not happening this weekend. Although I did find a 1964 Washington Qtr. last night in the dry sand:icon_scratch: So I took the DFX and hit some soccer fields at this 95 year old school. I've been out on this property a few times in the past and there are acres that you can hunt. I don't hunt hard ground much but in a weird way today's hunt gave my metal detector shoulder a break.......because I spent a lot of time on my hands and knees diggin'!!! I did excavate about 60 items of which 15 were misc. coins, the rest trash and then this button. I'm not sure what I have here? it looks old....... What do you guys think? The pictures show "as dug" and "given a bath" I took a little water and soft brush to remove some dirt............Good Luck Out There

Looks old Ive seen one like this posted before I found a WWI button at the arboretum in Michigan what is it doing there ????? Great find though

I hate to tell you but your button is a modern fashion one. The rusted out back is a dead give away that it is not military. And, here is a link to your button on the Waterbury website. It is listed under fashion buttons. It probably dates to the mid 20th century.
