Good finds.There should be a lot more around.I commuted thru the park every week day 1964-1967 and watched the hippies worshiping the sun every day.

They are still hanging out in there. If you go to what the locals call "hippie hill" on the east end of the park near the panhandle you can still see them. Although, a little old now with the younger want to be's mixed in. This area of the park is only a few blocks away from the Height - Ashbury district.

WOW man! You keep doing it! I wanted so badly to dig a silver coin there ~ I only got to detect there for a couple hours last year and I didn't find even one silver coin, nor a wheat cent!

Do you keep a total of the silver coins that you've dug out of Golden Gate Park? I'd love to know what I missed! HA HA HA HA!!
