I did some research and found where a Hotel owned by the railroad use once stood in the 1840s. It's in a very thick wooded area and loaded with trash. I had to crank the disc up to 50 on the T2. I could barely swing the coil for all the trees & weeds and I ended up with 6 tics! But i did manage to find a few things. Not from the period i was looking for but mostly from the 1940s and 50s. Some old toys, One was a tootsie diecast car. old hinges which i thought were kind of cool. and some other items which i'm not quite sure about. The metal "disc" appears to have what looks like a roman soldier holding a sword. I am guessing it was a top or lid to something. The older relics must be underneath the almost 200 years of junk. I did find a few original handmade bricks from the Hotel but no relics older than the 1940s. I may have to wait until fall or winter to really hunt it good when there are less weeds and way less tics.
