Fellow T-Netters,
A friend of mine is going down to Ocean City and wants to do some beach hunting. I've never hunted in this area and he was asking if I ever heard of any Spanish or Colonial coins being found on the beach in that area.

Has anyone on here heard of that being found in the Ocean City area?

Thanks
NJ

Colonial coins have been found from the OC inlet to Cape Henlopen. Best bet is high numbered OC to Coin Beach, 1st north of Indian River Inlet. Only problem is the last storm did not help much. Fairly good detecting 1 to 2 days after but downhill since. Just go an have fun. You will have lots of competition. I,ve seen people from 10 states detecting there this summer. I tend to jaw a little when I pass another detectorist.

Thanks Ed...I will pass it along.

If I every head down there I will let you know and maybe we could detect togeter. I usually head down to OBX once or twice a year and drive right through your state.

An update. Read a report about north of Coin Beach, Indian River. Delaware Seashore Park. Not much being found but large waves are pounding it. May be good Friday or early Saturday. After that expect it to get crowded.

Thanks Ed...they are not going down until the end of the month but I will let them know anyways...as always I really appreciate the info.
