If I was in Texas instead of Indiana I would have went down there yesterday, got a room and be on the beach at the crack of dawn. However, I am gonna have to pass this one up. Good luck to who ever goes, and watch the rip tides if you get in the water. TMAN...

Way to much surge and tide right now, been surfin the last 2 days. Wait till the wind and tide drops, don't even think about water detecting at this point. Wind is at 20-30mph.

Was going to hit it Today. Raining @ the house, so I WILL do it tomorrow. Hopefully the surge and the wind will slack off with another day. Albert you thinking about Galveston HH Gayle

Been checking with my family since the storme brewed up in the Gulf. They live just west of where dolly made landfall. My mom told me that I better hurry and make out to the island in give it a go. Only bad thing is work has me tied down

Anyways, there shoulb be good stuff coming out ot the dunes and the beaches. Good luck to those who go. I will try to make it out there soon.

A fellow detector buddie and I went from the last beach access to the cut at Port Mansfield. A few dunes were blown through, and we did not find anything, but we had a great time( at least I did) that was on Sunday the 27th of July.
