I can't do it, but I believe
Many moons ago, we had a plugged drain tile that took water from the farmhouse and the grain elevator that I managed. None of us had a clue as to where the tile exited the elevator or which direction it ran. A young guy that worked for me said he'd like to try dowsing, though he'd never done it before. He cut and bent some bronze brazing rods and went about giving it a try. I was funning with him, asking how many joints he'd smoked that morning.
Well, when the backhoe came out, the kid hadn't found the blockage, but he'd marked exactly where the tile exited the building and where it headed across the field. Made a believer out of me.
