Hello All! Thanks for taking a moment to read this.

Recently, a friend of min inherited a mini-hoard of coins and such from a relative. The relative is older now, and really just wanted to get the money for the stuff she had.

I am doing my part by taking care of the coins part of the collection! ;) ;) I know.. I know.. the sacrifices we make.. lol

What I need your help on is, well, mixed in the collection was a series of Tokens. I haven't the FOGGIEST clue when it comes to tokens, but I had a feeling this forum might be just up your alleys!

Can anyone tell me if they are worth anything, or any details? My friend was thinking on putting them on E-Bay.. but hadn't a clue what he should ask for... hate to let something go for a quarter when it was worth a buck or more.. ya know?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much!

These wooden nickels are OFFICIALS which is a good thing.
The Guidebook of Wooden Money by M.W. Dennis lists your
Cohoes, NY woods at $2.50 each in perfect condition. Since
any buyer will be furious if they arrive broken sell as a set
with a $7 start and ship them in a small box (like a check box)
inside a padded envelope to arrive safe. May bring $10 to $12
if you don't rape them for the shipping. Any high shipping
charges will cause lower bids. Won't cost much to ship if you
have an envelope you can reuse so you would get top dollar
bid for offering free shipping. siegfried schlagrule

Thank you so much for your feedback Siegfried! It is soooo darn appreciated.

Can't believe the darn things are worth that much! I thought maybe a quarter or so... darn!

Anyone have any luck or idea on the metal type ones?

Again, thank you SO much for your feedback!!

Not much on the medal ones althought there are people out there that are into the transportation tokens. I'd say maybe $1 each.
List them on ebay as a group and start at $3.50 with $2.50 for shipping.
