I had to go to a meeting in LA a few days ago and I decided to go for a walk on the beach in Santa Monica while I was down that way. I ended up finding a really cool 14k women's ring and I took it and had it looked at and it's real gold all of the stones tested real. I'm not going to post what it's worth but it's definitely not a cheapy. Anyway back to the story, I was walking down the path on the beach and anyone who's been there will know that there is a little wall by the bathrooms and I looked down and saw this ring sitting right on top of the little wall. It was like someone just set it there for me to find it. There are no engravings or inscriptions or anything on the ring to help me find the person who lost it so finders keepers.

Ok for some reason my pictures didn't want to work right the first time so hopefully they show up this time.

Don't you wish it was that easy to find gold every time you went out! :laughing7:

Congrats,
Dave

So you had it appraised and now.....What's she worth?

It appraised for between $2,500-$3,500 in a retail setting which is a fancy way of them saying that if they had it that's what they would sell it for.

Nice eyeball find. But then again, how could anyone miss seeing that.

Wow. maybe $5,000.00 or so.

She's a beauty all right. Congrats on finding it.

Since taking up this hobby, I tell all of the women I know (and men for that matter) to get their jewelry engraved if they plan on wearing it anywhere.
It's practically impossible to return if there are no markings.

Thanks everyone. It definitely is a really nice ring. It might be the best ring I've ever found.

Congrats! So I guess with that find we will be seeing you swinging an Etrac or CTX that you have been wanting.

Lol. I never sell anything that I find but I am getting some new detectors soon.

CK,

Neat find and no digging required.

Regards + HH

Yeah it was unexpected that's for sure.

Dude! That's a crazy find...You'd have to pull a heck of a lot of coppers/silvers to get to equal value. Way to go!

Wow, I guess a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year are in order. I bet Santa left it for you. I think I would have bought several lottery tickets also. Huge Congratulations on that beauty.

I'm still smiling about it.
