Wheat pennies were everywhere. I hit a mid-fifties home today and worked just the small front yard with 3 different detectors. I first started out with the Omega 8000 version 6 with the stock 10 inch concentric search coil. I grid searched the yard both ways and found the bulk of what was there to be found. Next I pulled out the F75DST with the super small concentric football search coil and found a few more good targets after grid searching the yard both ways. Finally I pulled out the Deus with the 9 inch search coil and put it into the sifter program. I found even more good targets that I'd missed with the other 2 detectors. That 'sifter' program is awesome.

I ended up with 22 wheat pennies, some clad and a what looks like to be a homemade silver pet's name tag. Why I didn't find a silver coin is beyond me!

That is a real house cleaning.
Congratulations.
PS- Can you PM me this sifter program?

Nice day. Do you think the pet tag was a hammered/smoothed dime?

Thanks! You might be on to something. It's more the weight of quarter though.

Let me just take the time to drop the old adage. "Where there'e wheats, there's silver!" Keep at it. Nice finds! :occasion14:

Pulled a lot of coins outa there!! I would have to think there is silver in there with all those wheats......great hunt!

Nice coin shooting! :occasion14:

Good hunt! Congrats on the good finds!

Thanks Everyone! If there is a silver coin in that front yard it's well hidden. LOL

Looks like a truckload of Wheats. Congrats.

22 wheats without a silver coin, man I would be freaking out. I'm spot on at 1:4 ratio silver to wheat, the dirt gods owe you... Congrats!!

Nice day! Sampson might be upset you took all his pennies haha.
