I was really beginning to wonder if my detector was ignorant of finer metals. Checked out a local high school and dug heaps of pennies outside the main doors. I also pulled out a ridiculously fake pendant before heading to the school's soccer fields.
Kept finding more pennies, and was pretty much getting fed up with going through the effort of digging them out of the SUPER-compact soil. Oh well, I continued digging them anyway, cause you never know what might be disguised as a zincoln. Lo-and-behold, A ring! It's a Mormon ring with pairs of animals heading to the arc. Actually, kind of a cool-looking ring, in my opinion, and my first silver recovery!
