The ground finally thawed in my side yard where I found the 1883 Indian head. I got a nice dime signal at 4 inches and DANG it was a 1944 plain mercury dime. My first silver coin of the year. YIPEEEEEEEE!!!... I stood up and swung the Ace about 4 or 5 times and got a penny to dime signal at 6 inches and dug up a 1907 Indian head cent. It just don't get much better than that. I found a clad quarter and a couple of lincoln cents a little later. A split shot and another lead ball almost as big as the sinker but it must be a slug I guess. it looks pretty old. I found a few what the devil is this thingy's too if anybody wants to take a guess. I sure had a happy hunt right beside my house. Have a good one and go find the biggun!

Great finds, Congrats!, on your first silver for the year...
Sorry, not a clue on any of those other items.
Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Nice dime Danglangley......this is only a guess but the little flat piece of metal with the circles on it reminds me of a switch that was on a 22/410 gun, my grandpa had. I can't remember if it was a safety switch or if it was the switch to change it from 22 to 410. My opinion only........nice finds, HH.....gregd573

Nice job...the ball on the left really looks like a musketball...

Doggone, that ACE 250 is bringing up the goodies now. Better go back, slow down and hit all those iffy signals that come in at 4 inches or more. Keep us posted.

HH all and keep the coil to the soil, Ringfinder

man right in your own yard!! thats awesome. id dig every dang signal i got. ;) and all the neighbors that would let me do their yard too!

Dang, you lucky dog!!! I love those Merc dimes, but can't find any. Looks to be in great shape too.
I like the old penny too. I found a lead ball like that too this week out in the farm field. Looks old to me too. Hopefully someone has an idea of it's era.
Congrats on your finds.

Awesome finds for the side yard or any yard, congrats! The whatsits look like print set for a printing press, are there any letters or numbers/symbols on the ends of them? HH, Mike

You bet me too it. Thats what they are.

whatzits.........

Not sure, but if I had to guess, the center, and possbily the right, are wedges for a wooden handled/metal headed tool of sorts. Typically, a sledgehammer, or an axe. They are driven into the top of the handle to keep the head on tight.
Congrats on a great hunt.
Regards,
Jules

I thought maybe those were wedges or shear keys to something. Also I have found quit a few of those pieces with letters on the end of them.....Printing press, yeah. thanks for the identification on all of them.

Wow!
What a great yard!!!!
