I found New Friends in a New York Cornfield!

Met up with fellow TreasureNet members Frank, and his Son Eric, for my very first farmfield hunt, in Kingston, located in the Catskill region of New York. We had a great hunt, and Frank found an old Vermont copper, and a musketball. Eric found an Indian arrowhead, and I found old iron! What a great time!

the large copper turned out to be a Britannia from the 1860's
its all but toast you have to have water on it and tilt it just right to see what it is
but hey its mine lol

I used to love walking Davenports fields for arrowheads when I lived out in Stone Ridge

Frank! I just want to say how much fun I had, and thank you and Eric again for showing this old dog a new trick! You could not have been a better host, and our conversation was priceless! davenports is no longer accessible now that the kids run the fields they do not want any one in them for any reason
