i found the same thing 50 miles apart

these items must be common, first one i found a year ago at a homestead in the mountains, and i just found one yesterday, at a old homestead in the desert flats, about 50 miles away, any ideas????the pics are of the same one, they are identical except on one someone engraved a star into it.

Looks like a hazard triangle from the back of a tractor or farm trailer

what you have found are blades for a sickel blade mower once pulled by horses,then by tractors to cut hay.The blades were attached with either rivits or small bolts on a long bar about six feet in length and the bar moved horizontally, cutting the grass or hay.

Having installed and sharpened said mower blades I concur with Texas Papa. Two Dogs

texaspapa111 nailed it, it is a blade from a sickle bar mower.Appears to have been sharpened a few times.

And here I thought that the picture was upside down and it was a road sign for "PYRAMIDS AHEAD" ;D
