I saw a post in our local discussion forum about a wedding ring lost while fishing at a local park. I contacted the person, got some details, and was very happy to be sitting on a picnic table with the ring when he drove up!
It is a diamond and white gold men's wedding ring and the family was most happy to see it. It is one of my best finds ever.
I was using my old Fisher 1212-x that is my "loner" detector.
I got a nice message back from them on my computer the next day: "Indeed, I still owe you and yours lunch or dinner or whatever. Thanks again for finding the ring." I declined a reward, it was cool just finding it!
