I like it. 289 pennies will fill 1 square foot if they are touching each other. That comes out to $416.16 for a 12 x 12 room. ??? Think I'll lay down vinyl tiles in my kitchen.

I really like it- If you bought inexpenisive peel and stick tiles, you could glue them on while watching TV then put them down all at once. You could almost do a mosiac with the different tones. Remember when they used to put half dollars on top of bars? Wasn't that clear apoxy or resin? What a great winter project, and if you put it out there who wouldn't give you their pennies? I'm inpired- can you tell?

I wouldn't use zincolns, you will be replacing the floor within a year or two. ;D
