I went out to around the area where I found the scythe blade. I got a overload hit on the pro. The last time that happened, is was 7 horseshoes in a hole, pretty close to the same area. This time it was slightly different. A chain , I wonder if its gold

looks like something a kid raided his grandparents' dresser drawer and buried the stuff and played 'pirate'. we did this as kids with my neighbor's grandma's costume jewelry. my neighbor hid a 'sockful of pennies' the he supposedly could never relocate that sort of became a legend and the monetary value grew over the years... bet it was an interesting dig you had.... could be some scrap gold value in the chain... hopefully....

Nice cache. Hope the jewelry is gold. Especially the chain, it's huge.

Nice collection. Have you checked the chain for markings? If it is gold, you will usually find the stamp somewhere on the clasp.

Look,s Costume to me , But I Hope I,m wrong .

The money clip may be Silver.

Cool finds.

Nice find, my friend detected a Jewelry cache years ago at the Delaware Park Horse Race Track before it became a casino. It was at a old farm house they tore down, he got Turqoise mounted on a silver necklace and a few other things, they don't come up often.

Nice! Thanks for sharing...

It was in a thick plastic bag which degraded years ago. I know the jewelry is costume, it looks to be about the 50s. Still there is a market foe that. The spoon is, from what I can find, 20-30s. You got this when you bought a Rolex at the factory. I've seen the tie clip on etsy between $15-20. Can't find any info on the bulldozer clip. The chain has no clasp , its one piece.

From me understanding of reads, plated items have wear. In those spots they will start to corrode after while and make a kinda bubbled up look. Gold wont do that at all. Any corrosion? Not educated on any other metal just yet so maybe brass wont either

Awesome jewelry cache! Congrats! Maybe they buried a little silver change too!

Cool find, it had to be so exciting! Take you chain to a jeweler they will tell you if it is gold.

very nice, that spoon is cool!

Fun findings there!

I would keep a diary of the trip and take us there with you. Figuratively of course. There are some of us that can't go out as often as we like you know mortgage etc, and we like the thrill of a good hunt.

Definitely a very cool haul! There are a number of designer costume jewelry designers that do have items that bring in some cash so check those carefully.
Nice finds!

Wow way to go love the spoon
