I will post photos of all finds tomorrow, I asked the owner if anything like that was ever found? (Slave Tag) I personally do not think he knew what i was talking about. I`m jealous of myself!!!! I will deff post every find along with picks of the foundations / etc....

Good luck & happy hunting. I never heard of slave tags until I got into this hobby in 12/07. Western & Eastern Treasures magazine had an article about someone finding one.

I beeped a yard in Mass last Aug, found a 1723 Hibernian 1/2 penny, an 1804 draped bust, an 1847 liberty bust, some buckles and a full set of harmonica reads. Then the owner showed me the shackles he found while gardening........ Good luck man, only God knows what's in that ground

Does sound very promising. GL.

The only 2 $ golds I can think of from NFLD, maybe that's what was found ?

Sounds like a great site..glglglgl

Sorry, Newfoundland, canada had 2 dollar gold coins from 1865 to 1888, as far as I know there are no 2 dollar USA gold coins.

@ treblehunter...need friends lend detectors, cool , and funny.

My friend you are still giving away way too much info on location, unless you want a lot of competition, and have the owner kick "everybody" off his property. It has just happened on another thread, too many people, and a good spot too.

I'd edit out the guys name, and what county it's in, and one more thing too.
