Got out again for a couple hours today.

I've only done a few hunts this year, but I'd found 11 wheaties and 4 silver coins to date. I was just thinking last night about how that's a lot higher than my normal ratio. Well, everything always reverts to the average.

I hunted a 1921 house I got permission on a few weeks ago. I found 5 wheaties but no silver coins. Here are my totals from the day:
-5 Wheaties (40, 44, 47-S, 52-S, 57-D)
-36 Memorial Cents
-2 Canadian Pennies
-3 Dimes
-4 Nickels

Not sure I'll have too much time to get out over the next couple weeks but I've got my eye on a couple more spots for later in the summer.

Happy hunting!

Thanks for sharing!

At least you pulled some wheats, so it wasn't a total loss.

Wheats are just a sign that silver is near. I like to dig all targets when I'm in a new spot to age the area. Go get them silvers they like to hide!!!!!!!!

You think that's bad, take a look at my signature! I've got 53 wheat pennies to a measly 2 silver Rosie's this year.

I had one year where I found 45 wheat pennies to start the year before finding a silver Rosie in a new park that was definitely a recent drop. Keep after it!

Congrats on the wheats! I bounce between a 1:3 and 1:4 ratio of wheats to silver coins. Sometimes 10 or 12 wheats, but then a couple of silvers pop out
