My Dad dug this out of the ground about 30 years, any ideas on what kind it is....

It appears to be a 35 Remington semi-automatic, clip fed rifle, made back in the 30's or 40's.

I have a Remington mod.11 that was made under the browning patent. Made in the late 1930's. They were used in WW2 then became riot guns for law enforcement. I still use it to deer hunt.is a browning model, self loading shotgun...most copied weapon on earth...every body made them...
