I got out for 2 hours yesterday hoping to find a little silver and keep my streak alive. No such luck my streak is officially dead. I did find 20 coins with a face value of $2.02, some beaver tail tabs and a bunch of squashed aluminum beverage caps. There was one good find, a 1971. Eisenhower dollar, something you don’t find everyday.
Today I had more time and got back in the water. I got about half of a different swimming area done and had better luck. 16 coins with a face value of $1.48, some sinkers, some cheapy jewelry, 2 tabs and as usual too many bits of foil that you have to dig just in case. I found a nice looking stainless comfort style band marked 316 L for the quality of the steel in the ring. I found 2 earrings marked 925 that turned out to be a pair. They both had 3 tiny diamonds in them, one looked like it was just lost, shiny and new, and the other one found about 20 away from the first, was tarnished and looked like it had been in the water for a long time. I’m not sure how that happened. The 2 little skull beads are kind of cool.
Still having fun out there swingin, because you never know what you will find. And there is always something out there to find.
Thanks for looking and may your coil lead you to good things.
