I was by a old farm house from early 1800s. has trees growing threw the basement. i seen the old fireplace but i cant go in to dangerous but soon as i get someone with me im heading into the house with caution

Thanks to everyone here who has helped me. has given me somthing ill never forget. a hobby that i can do and enjoy. this machine has amazed me in depth and how light it is.. i still only have a stock coil but its fun. THANKS EVERYONE
I have not had a ..TESORO..for a long time now and was going to get a ..CIBOLA..but after reading all the problems you have had with it i am giveing it second thoughts now.......==Jim==

Hey Jim!!
The Cibola is a great detector! I was having second thoughts about getting a Tesoro, but having tried every other brand, I'd thought I'd give the Cibola a shot. It is probably the most stable detector I've tried. It is even more stable than the CZ5. It has very good depth but the pinpointing could have been a little better but with the 5.25 inch coil, it is more accurate. All in all, the Cibola is a very good machine.

"""" Newfiehunter """" Ok i will get one and did you ever use that 3 x 18 widescan HOT coil i want to try that out to.I will get one and i know i will end up likeing it i'll let you know how it works for me.Now on pinpointing it is not good at that you say it don't pinpoint in the center of the coil?...==Jim==

Got my new Cibola today and I love it. Unbeleiveable how DEEP it will go. I have had a Garrett Ace 250, White M6, Plus the White MXT and Fisher ID Edge, Titan 3000 and acourse the good ole Bounty Hunter. This one beats them all. If you don't mind sometimes having to dig DEEP, you will love this Light Weight, Simple to use metal detector. HH

Yea,I've had mine since the 1st of the year and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Hey Jim
Congrats on your decision. You won't be disappointed. I gotta say I've been tempted to pick up that 3X18 hotscan coil also but to be honest, I havent tried it before.

To answer your question about poinpointing. I think the reason why my pinpointing is a little inaccurate on the stock coil is because I have the threshold turned up to the max, which is stated in the manuel. If you set it at about 2 o"clock it would probably be more accurate at pinpointing. The reason why I have the threshold set to the max is get more depth out of the detector. However, with the sniper coil, you can get away with having the threshold set to the max and having accurate pinpointing. The sniper coil is really hot on small targets.

By the way, did you see what OakieMike and Troy stated about the Cibola? They liked it.

Anyway hope this was helpful to you, Jim. Good luck with your Cibola!!
