I am back from my mini vacation. Day 1 was a litnof rqin. Day 2 was beautiful and we headed up to the East Fork San Gabriel river. This being out first time going up there we didnt know what to expect. On the rife up there was a beautiful Bald Eagle sitting on her eggs. We made itnup to where we were going. And started digging. We started seeing gold show up on our first shovel full on the v mat on my sluck plate. We dug for about 4 hours and left to have dinner with my dad.
Unfortunately no deep sea fishing tri this time. Too uch wind off shore i guess. The boats didnt go out. So back up the the East Fork! We only got about 2 hours of digging. We tried to go up to Piru Creek first but tan into a campground by the lake and they said the gate was closed. So we went south.
Anyway, it was a fun trip and we found some color!
