A day or so short of Summer but BOY!
That Sun gets hotter every year!

Couldn't stand it for long but fortunately
I found a few before it sent me packing!

Yep, that heat has been killer lately, that and the humidity...but congrats on getting out for a while, great stuff. Ddf

Congratualtions on getting out in the heat! :occasion14:

Nice variety of finds for just a short hunt. Congrats

yea I have a light tan hat.
something along this line, with me at all times

though I never wear it.

used it several times about 2001 then it ended up in my emergency pack

Nice hunt, tried taking my granddaughter out coin shooting a local school, she overheated after about 30 minutes :sad10: Looks like we will get a cool down in the next couple of days so I hope to get her out there!

Very nice finds and I appreciate your work in presenting them to us. Stay cool indeed! Here's a frosty one for you! :occasion14:

Mine was my own creation and it looks I did. :dontknow:

I also got tired of the rubber/plastic/leather like covering on my headphones. When its hot, they make my ears sweat so bad its like a river! So, I reupholstered them with a decent, absorbent, cloth like covering.

The hat works ok but it seems to trap a lot of heat ! Maybe the fan would be a nice touch. ;)

Very impressive, a hand made one. Now they have a "one of a kind" to tussel over.
Nice finds congrats.
You are making coin star green with envy.

Those mesh caps may let more heat escape, and a plain thin hankie for the neck flap.

My all time favorite is crushed ice in a zip bag rolled in a kitchen towel and draped around my neck, and a bottle if water. I keep more ice in a small cooler in the truck for a replacement when needed.

I thought about mesh but...wasn't sure it would keep the sun from burning.

I'll check it out.
Thanks!

Ya that maybe a concern, but they are cooler.

So is .....not having a flap at all. But then, why have a flap at all if it just lets the sun through? :dontknow:
