I need help with a shard.

Hey everybody. I'm digging a new site I found. I need some experts to weigh in on this piece. I haven't had a lot of time to explore it but I dug around in a few spots. This seems old to me. Any ideas on age? Thanks in advance. glass is thin

Nice old piece of glass! You've gotta be in a good spot. I'd guess around 1850? Or even earlier? I could definitely see this one having a pontil, anyway. I just like to make a guess, helps me learn.

Nice applied finish on it, hopefully you will get some real beauties that are whole with the same early lips.

It's got good age. It's definitely middle of 19th century up to 1875ish
