Metal Detectors: Guests are not permitted to use metal detectors on board because anything found on board would "belong" to Carnival Cruise Lines. We would then try to return the item to the guest.

no you can take it on the ship to use at ports thats okay,

but you gotta wonder if some idiot at one point tried to use one on a metal ship, or if carnivals policy writter is just that stupid.

I just noticed your avatar too, seems like we are thinking along the same lines, I am flying it also to represent the thousands of americans who have lost their jobs. 1500 from our company has been laid off since last year, and it continues.
