✅ SOLVED I picked this today but have no idea what it is...

A friend's father recently passed away and I was able to pick the house this morning for anything I had an interest in purchasing.

I opened a metal cabinet in the basement and found the pictured item. I have never seen one before so my only guess was that it's an oil can of some sort?? The only reason I thought that was due to the other plastic oil bottles that were around it.

I'm generally pretty good at researching things but so far I haven't been able to figure this one out.

The word "CHROME" is stamped in the bottom.

Thank you for finding that.

Although very believable, I needed to do a little more research which led to another listing on the same site. Yes, it is for liquor but I think it's a cocktail shaker and not a decanter. Put ice in the top, pour the liquor in, shake it up and the ice dings the "bell". Unscrew the spout and the 4 holes strain the ice away from the drink.

If that is indeed a cocktail shaker, (and I have no reason to believe otherwise) how appropriate was that Sam Adams bottle as a size reference?
