They sure sounded good, one was a Reagan coin and the other was a Kennedy half. I wanted to give the Nox a try on some mid-fifty homes to see what I could find. Did you know that finding a Kennedy half is harder to do than finding a Walker?

I went back to a yard that I had previously detected and found a 1956 silver quarter and a few wheat pennies. I saw a girl across the with some cats so I yelled out, how many cats got? Long story short, I talked with her for a while and she asked me if I wanted to detect her yard. I said yes.

I ended up finding a couple of more silver coins, a Rosie and a Mercury dime and a few more wheat pennies. I'm going to hit the older part of town next with the Nox to see if I can find some older coins.

Knocking them dead Tab, knocking them dead!!

Great hunt there Tabman. That Reagan coin is an odd one. Congrats on the silver. What's your total for the year so far. I'm guessing its pretty impressive.

Congrats Tabman, that'll buy some cat food!

tabman,a great hunt as usual In my hunts I find fewer Franklin half dollars than any of the others. That does not include Barber half dollars.

Nice silver finds! Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Very nice haul --kennedy is nice to find not to many under ground HH

Way to work it, tabman! Being friendly pay off a lot in this hobby. I disagree on the kennedy being harder to find than a walker. Unless you're talking about a 90% kennedy.

thrifty76now, does that mean you have a pocketful of dug bust halves? lol

Congratualtions on the nice finds! :occasion14:

xr7ator, I actually was fortunate enough to did two bust halves during over 50 years in metaldetecting. And before that i searched very old farm dumps for glassware.I'm 86 now and I do not hunt unless it is warm.

Thanks, Everyone! I found a nice looking Barber and a Buffalo nickel yesterday with my Nox but I was too tired and busy to post the pictures of my hunt. I'm heading out this morning to do some old nickel hunting with my newly acquired Fisher CZ-5.

Looks like it was a nice hunt Tabman. Silvers and the Reagan coin would make a good outing for me.
