Ok, I've been over my front yard now at least 6 or so times. A couple of weeks ago I found my first silver there. Well today was just about as exciting but I didn't know it all until I sat down with the old eye loop to take a closer look (after I rinsed off the finds with some water). I knew there was another silver Mercury dime, dated 1924. My other one was a 1944 that I found a couple of weeks ago. I think the best find here, and another first, is the 1898 Liberty nickel (and wouldn't you know I scratched it). Also in the finds, a horse shoe (still with a couple of what look like nails), an earring that my daughter lost, a 1939 nickel, a 1926 wheat, and a couple of dimes.
