Hey I can't find any info on this, any ideas ? Seems to be civil war but I'm not sure. The site where I dig it had mostly mid to late 1800s relics. I'm not sure what it's made of, it registered lower than most copper on ATpro, mid 50s on VDI.

It does look like a CW Unionist pin of some sort.


Not quite right for a hat badge.


Hard to see the fastener on the back in your pics...

Does the banner at the bottom of the pin have 5 letters on it?

I can not quite tell from the pics, if those are letters. If they are, tell DCMatt what the letters are, and I will bet you he can ID from that.
