I dug this up today at a local bottle dump with finds dating from the 1830's to 1960's. It looks like a champagne or wine bottle from the 1800s to me, but I don't know much about bottles from that era. It has many air bubbles and imperfections, and a pontil mark on the bottom. I can not see any seams going up the bottle, and the bottom half looks hand rolled possibly? It is the longest bottle we have ever found measuring at a length of 14 inches from the bottom to top. The lips of the bottle also have many faults and imperfections. If anyone can give me an age or time period of this bottle, I would really appreciate it. None of the marks in the pictures are cracks or chips, they are all air bubbles and imperfections. The soda bottle next to it is a 2 liter for size reference. Thanks for looking and HH!
