Can anyone identify these??? They are in about 4,000 feet of water and there are hundreds of them...always in groups of 6. They look like 6-packs of beer, but are actually about the size of gallon paint cans. Any ex-navy types ever seen these? It is in an old miltary zone. The second pic just shows some creepy crawlies. The first pic is an example of all the others.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Seem small in relation to the creepy crawlys...fish. One piece units...could be cargo from a modern boat that fell overboard, what depth exactly and are there really hundreds as in more than one hundred or just a s....t ton of them? Nice pics...

some of the older navy guns used a projectile followed by bags of powder propellant. these might have held the bags or maybe something from the hedgehog anti submarine weapon used during wwII.

Old Gold74...
Between 3,950 feet and 4,012 and literally hundreds...saw 112 on just one survey line and that's just ONE line of data. Any ideas??

Perhaps old munitions, and you are looking at the ass-end covered by a little silt. Some of the larger rounds came in boxes of 6, and perhaps it was eaten away over time...
