Identification??? Quartz?

Hi, All! Thanks for cruising and helping. I am posting another rock from San Bernadino Mtns.
These were found close to a turquoise bed rich in Cu. The turquoise were jewelry grade AAA. Hard as Musket balls. These slabs, however have the jagged appearance a quartz lode deposit might have upstream. Any thoughts could help.

Kind of looks like Bornite which is a peacock copper ore.

It might be Bornite. Being just a picture and not in focus/color balance there is no way to be sure.

I'd think it was more likely it's Chalcopyrite. Chalcopyrite is the iron sulphide (pyrite) of copper CuFeS[SUB]2[/SUB]. Chalcopyrite is often peacock colored and massive mineralization is common. Bornite is much rarer, usually displays a prominent and distinctive blue iridescence and is rarely more than a thin coating on other minerals - usually Chalcopyrite.

Then again I could be completely off base - it's a photo. Any chance for a hardness test, streak test and some idea of size? Maybe an in focus picture in natural light?
