These are probably Revolutionary War era but the bullet looks like Civil War era. Found these at the battle of stono ferry site but it is so diverse out there it is hard to tell. I think the button is a Continental Army button but I don't know. Please help!

In my opinion... The bullet looks fairly modern to me, but it might be some unusual pistol shot from the 1800s (the folks on the Civil War forum could probably help much more). I'm not sure about the other item. It doesn't look entirely like a button to me. Almost looks like the end of a shotgun shell?
Either way, keep digging!

I think you have a Civil War era. bullet they are called "William's Cleaner Bullet." It was never fired. Good find! I have never found a Civil War bullet that has not been fired. Anyway your other item looks like a flat button, very common in Rev. War and Civil War era. I do not know. Let me know if you need anymore help with artifacts.

Got to disagree... Try a Google Image search... this bullet doesn't match a Williams or any other CW bullet I've ever seen. I think it's considerably more modern.

I see it too.

Wasn't there a civil war bullet that had three pieces to it? They stacked together then were shot.

Yes there was a 3 piece bullet it was a "Shaler" bullet and the bullet pictured is not one. It looks like a fairly modern bullet to me too...d2
