Hello everyone, I found this stone into the desert, near Oman. I cut it in two. The stone is heavy 6kg, and 30 cm long. What is this rock?

Welcome to TNet. I am no rocker but there are some knowledgeable folks on here about rocks and minerals, so I am sure someone will help you. Interesting item. Looks like petrified wood to me but as I said, I AM NO EXPERT so do not take that to the bank.

Hi. I far from an expert on anything. But I have a piece somewhere amongst our packed away stuff and it was the first thing that I thought of.
I'd back that in the picture being that. Nice looking piece, it'd find a spot in our home if I found anything like that.
