The first thing I would look at is what kind of stud it's on. Is it a gold stud or junk stud. I've found several of these water hunting and all mine were junk. Hope you have better luck.

99% sure this is a fancy-cut CZ. Is it in a marked setting? 925? These are mostly always cubics. Slim to none chance of it being a diamond, but have it checked anyway.

I have a personal friend . he is a gemologist he told me the general rule of thumb is If it is set in gold it is a diamond if set in 925 it is a cz good luck with that Im routing for you nice find . any jewler will be able to tell you with a hardness tester . If it is silver have it checked anyway happy digs Rob
