If You Don't Like Seeing Pics With Snow In Them Stop Now

Don't say I didn't warn you. :offtheair: I spent the day on the tundra hills for most of the day searching for loot. The ACE got the deeper ones in the deep snow...the stinger got the loot in the not so deep snow. It got a couple of degrees above freezing, which made it quite pleasant! I hit two different places, and each gave me a little over $2.00. And, as usual, more BIC lighters showed up.

Below is the totals for the day. :)

:D Hey, not a bad haul for a cold and snowy day! Your equipment did a good job for U. WTG on all UR finds. HH and keep watching for spring - it's coming soon. Good luck. Jim

Good to see you're still posting those great snow pictures!

Are you still using the PI unit as much as you used to?

Nice thread, thanks.

Re: If You Don't Like Seeing Pics With Snow In Them Stop Now

I use my Infinium for all my water hunts, but the water must be at least above my knees. The shallow water is to junky, so I usually use the stinger or ACE with the sniper coil. Below are my ring finds from last year. Most of the golds were found with my Infinium.

Good to hear from you.... Hope your 2008 was a "KILLER" :icon_sunny:

What an array of rings! These are just beautiful. May you find even more this year!

Good for you, Edmonton. I'm proud of you. I'd be out in the snow myself today, except I'm going skiing tomorrow and don't want to wear myself out today.

Nice finds. How cold was it? How did the one with the LCD hold up in the cold ? What type batts ,and how did they hold up ?

It was about 4 degrees above freezing. The LCD worked fine. I have previously taken the GTA 500 out in much colder temps and the detector worked fine. The LCD slowed down considerably, but it still worked. I am using recharge ables in both detectors..Ace uses 4 x "AA"s and the Scorpion Gold Stinger uses 3 x 9 volt batteries. I tucked a hot pack inside the camo cover directly underneath where the batteries sit. That keeps the batteries warm and running. I have never had batteries stop working from the cold putting hot packs on them. I have however had them die out getting too cold.
