Got back to my coworkers house at lunch today, where I dug the 1903 indian at lunch earlier in the week. When I dug this beauty I was pretty sure what it was.

If I squint, wet it, hold it just right, and do a few shots of Tequila, I think I see a 7 :tongue3:

Well she's toasted but It looks like this is going to be a great site.

Thanks for looking and HH

Wow you just keep amazing with your finds awesome job !

Looks like a 7 to me also! Don't look at it straight on from your computer, look at it from an angle and it squashes the pixels together making it stand out more.

Yeah that's how I ended up seeing it.

It's amazing but when it is dry you can't see any detail at all.

Cool find! I think the flying eagle cent is one of the best looking American coin designs ever. I used to have one but I gave it to someone & can't remember who, it's been so long.

nice finds welcome to the flying eagle club

love those flying eagles...

Dab a bit of olive oil on it and let it sit for an hour. Should be able to see the details better then. Worked on my V nickle.

Nice one! We don't see them posted every day!

this i what i see, or is this a crazy eye trick

Thanks I'll give that a try. It sure is not pretty to look at when it is dry. Can't see anything.

I don't know nsdq, I think it's a 7 but sometimes if the angle is right.... I'll give it a soak in some olive oil and see if any more detail emerges. I'll post a new pic here if it gets looking any better

let us know, i was comparing alinement of where the date should be to the 57 i have , but your right it is hard to tell, ether way still a nice find

That's just a button. Ha Ha ;D nice first mine looks just like it i used a brass tumbler with corn cob media to smooth out the roughness and see the eagle.
