When my 70 year old right shoulder gets tired I switch to my left hand. I notice that I am slower and more deliberate with signals and sometime leads to a good find!

It’s so hard to get use to then digging I could hardly do that lol. I’m still in a arm sing

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Hope you heal up quickly. You need to run the machine and have someone else do the digging. Gary

Those IHP's seem to hold up well in the ground. Nice find. Make sure your arm is healed well before swinging with it.

Shawnboylk, did you just have rotator cuff surgery? I had my left shoulder rotator cuff repaired for a torn rotator cuff and my left bicep repaired for a ripped bicep muscle. This was this past June. If you had this surgery, please take care and don't overdo. This had a lot more rehab time than I was prepared for, and I'm retired. If you had this type of surgery done, and you reinjure the repair it will set you back big time. I met a young man while in rehab that had the same surgery. This young man was still working, and I ran into him a short while later in town. I asked him how his shoulder was and he made a face and said "not good". He went on to say that his work claimed to have light duty, but they really didn't. It sounded like he reinjured his shoulder. Not telling you what to do, just be careful. This Saturday will be my first Relic hunt since I had my surgery. I'm right handed, so I should be fine. I'm past ready to go. Take Care of yourself.

Congrats on the IH !! I had shoulder surgery and was very lucky that the rehab went very smoothly. Hope you recover quickly.

Nice job on the Indian. Like Devldog said, don't overdue it if it was a Rotator Cuff surgery. I had my right side done 5 years ago and they do not want you to re-tear the surgery. Luckily, mine was in December, so going thru the Winter wasn't bad. Even when I started hunting in April, I swung the detector with my left hand, and dug with my left hand. Good luck on your recovery.

Well luckily I just had bone spurs in each shoulder after lifting weights for a few years they started rubbing my rotator cuff and my ligaments and hurting really bad so I had to go in and have them grind it down and fix some minor tears on one of my ligaments but they said it wasn’t nothing major probably do my left shoulder this summer but yeah it’s no fun not being able to move your arm I have to start physical therapy next week so we will see how that goes. I’m just not the one to stay inside I can’t do it I can’t take it ha ha

Love those Indians !

beauty, thanks for posting. I tried to swing left handed half the time and just gave up.............

Yea I'd think swinging would be much much easier than the digging up! Good job on the IHP and a fast recovery to ya.
