I'M BAAAACCCKKK!!!!!!!!!!
Hi everyone!! Been offline for about a month, and have A LOT of posting to catch up on!! I'll post the highlights (and pics) for your enjoyment. Here goes!! Note: some items (such as clad and some wheats) may not be pictured. Second note: pics may have to be split into multiple posts.
4/17: '57d Roosie, 6 wheats ('13, '15d, '18, '21, '29, '44), Alabama state tax token
4/21: 1887 indian (my oldest Chicago park coin found to date), 5 wheats ('18, '19s, '25, '30, '37)
4/23: '36d merc, '61d Roosie, '28 wheat, antique drawer pull
5/3: '43s merc, 3 wheats ('37, '44, '57d), "Good for 5 cents in trade" token (PJ Mally 1938; badly corroded)
5/8: 2 wheats ('14, '53d), suspender/garter clip (with a patent date stamped on it March 7 1871), small religious medallion
5/9: '41, '42d, '43d mercs, '02 Barber half (absolutely stunning find!!), 5 wheats (all '40s/'50s), Billiken company token (has a copyright date of 1908)
5/10: 1875 seated dime (my first seated coin, oldest silver coin, oldest Chicago park coin, and second oldest coin ever dug!!), '45 Washington quarter, 6 wheats ('11, '19, '19d, '20, '42, '44), whistle (same hole as the seated dime; still works!!), 1940 New York world's fair token (still has some of the original gold coloring on it), souvenir token from the 1907 electrical engineers' convention (though its missing the indian head cent
), copper utensil handle with the letter "K" on it, and a possible gold earring (bonus surface find; needs to be checked out).
