The hunt today,,would be classified as a relic hunt.
Super duper hard hunted site,,by myself,,,and one other gent I know of at least.

Don't know what the bigger item is,,,it is made of lead though.
The other is a musket ball,,,have found them in this area before.
Site dates back to at least mid 1700s.

A good site due to the amount of nails,,and iron,,to check a detector's performance as well as learn.
Likely no cherry hits in this particular portion of a larger site, which spans 193 acres.

A couple comments about Impact hunting in sites such as these.

My overall learning of this detector,,and starting to realize it's tendencies.

Not all nonferrous targets, this detector is capable of finding-- will be textbook hits.

Meter readings can give clues,,associated with tone,,,be it tone length,,sound,,or level(s) of claririty.

A real slicer and dicer in and around nails and iron.

Will keep plugging along,,,to see if I can start to see any more of its tendencies while looking for nonferrous targets in these kinds of places.
