Ok last week's box was $500 worth of nice shiny 1997-D halves.

The good news is, I ordered two boxes for this week, and when I opened them up, they were all various dates on the ends of the rolls, though I could not see any silver.

Bad news is, I went through an entire box last night and found zero. :(

Tonight I will go through the other box, however, I picked a few rolls out of it last night and found nothing, so I do not expect to find anything tonight either. ::)

Oh well.

I could be wrong.

But then, on the bright side, there is always next week, and always another box to search.

I feel your pain. I went through about $1200 and found nada. I did find some silver today but I was starting to get the shakes from Silver Withdraw ;D. Just remember that every cloud has a silver lining.

I feel your pain too. The only thing I've seen that looks like a silver lining around here is the snow we are looking for this weekend. :P

I looked through box #2, and also picked up 3 rolls and some loose ones from the bank.

Got zero.

There is always some kinda trend in each batch of halves though.

Several that were corroded, rusted, etc. Worst JFKs I have ever seen. They looked like they coulda been dug.

LOTS of really new-looking Bicentennial halves from Denver.
Many halves that were fairly shiny....one of them I swore was a proof when I took it from a stack of them.

1996-P, but it was not a proof, just THE nicest looking of the bunch.

In other relavent news, I discovered both banks I use (one for ordering, one for dropping off) use Brinks.
So now I haveta find another bank that uses a different armoured car service to use for ordering.

I will keep ordering through the bank I am using now for the time being, because I have no idea how many boxes they have sitting around at the local Brinks building, and there are certainly halves being turned in to them all the time by the banks they service.

But when it starts to look like the silver is exhausted, I will begin to order from a new bank. There are half a dozen armoured car services around here. And there are untold number of banks in little bitty towns around here as well. I just need to call around and ask different banks like BOA, Suntrust, etc. who they order their bulk change from.

So...that is all for me until next Thursday....I will order 2 boxes again.

The odor of skunkage does not last forever haha....
