I got permission to hunt a site of an old school. The area is now a spot on a farm that is used to feed cattle. You can visibly see the hole where the school sat. There was lots of junk from being farmed for the last several decades. The owner stated that some kids set the school on fire in 1963 so it did seem promising.
Well there was not much found. I think that some of the stuff could be deeply buried as we were digging trash at the 1 and 2 foot level.
Here is the best thing found. It is some sort of medal for an independence celebration in 1897. I thought it might have been a dog tag because I have seen a few bell shaped ones. It is a pretty cool find.
