Don't remember where or when I dug this one up. Looks like aluminum. I have never heard of Indian gas. Does anybody have any ideas about this. Thanks for looking.
Indian Gas was a product of the Indian Refining Co. of Lawrenceville, IL, a firm which was created in 1906 from the Indian Asphalt Co. Indian was best known for marketing Havoline motor oil after they purchased the Havoline Oil Co. sometime in the late 1910's. Texaco bought out Indian in 1931, mostly to gain control of the Havoline brand and process patents, and began using Indian Gas as the name for their economy-grade gasoline until 1942.
