Looks like the head is 2 sizes to big for the body!!! :laughing9: :laughing9: :laughing9:
Great find bud!!!

If it were Indian Wars wouldn't that put it around 1832 ? Only one I have read about was Blackhawk War that took place in Illinois and Wisconsin.

If it is thats really sweet .........let us know.

Yea I bought a bottle of Navy Jelly almost 10yrs ago to remove some rust and never ever used it, now I at least have some ideas. No idea of the price now but I got mine at AutoZone for like $5 for a bottle a bit smaller than a can of pop, might be something everybody should have in they cleaning arsenal. (wonder how it would do on cleaning nickles?)

Age seems dependent on what follows the Horstman Bros & Co. legend. City/ w/wo period abbrev.

Appears the Horstman Bros and Co. legend appears on buttons from 1837 to 1866.

The Indian Wars era depends on which Indian Wars you're talking about since they basically began with the Revolution and continued through about 1898 at one place or another on the continent.

Awesome good button!

Wow - that really cleaned up nice! Mighty nice find!
