Super Sunday AM at church today. A short stop at Wegman's and then back to the test site at at an old Baltimore park for a 2+ hour hunt.

After my hunt here Thursday, finding six coins from the mid to later 19th century, I mentioned to my wife that I thought there had to be old silver there too. Today it surfaced. After pulling four IHPs today, I got another deep signal, but the VDI was over 90, so I thought "large cent?". Turned out to be a first for me ... an 1876 seated quarter and a "CC" mint as well. So I got on the phone and asked her the "guess what I found question". She said that "persistence pays off". Really glad that my hunch about this site has proved out.

In all, there were 5 IHPS today, but two are too "chunky" to read dates, a United Electric Railways token (toasted like the injuns), $1.49 clad, and a modern bullet.

Thanks for checking out the pic and Happy Hunting!

Beautiful quarter congrats on her and the Indians and wheats

That's a good time. Hh, Brother Al

Thanks Art. As you know, firsts are rare, but always a special moment.

Thanks Al. That F75 has done well for me. Had disc at 7, 3 tones and sens at 90. No problem detecting down to 9 inches.

In that park, I'm glad you are only digging bullets that are in the ground.

WTG!

Thanks Whadifind. Nothing whizzing by, except the bees. You mentioned in your earlier comment this week that you expected there were still many good targets here...and you were right!

Beautiful seated quarter

CC !!!!!!!!!!!

That quarter is in amazing shape. Congrats on a great hunt. And congrats for trusting your intuition. I'm learning to trust that voice myself... It's rare that it's wrong if the voice is persistent.

Yep, I know there are many targets there. The area is just too dangerous for my liking anymore. Welcome to it!
I did do some extensive hunting there but waaaaay back when! AND...with a Garrett Groundhog, which I still have and which still works! But, that was the 70's and I was a newbie. Some said a gifted newbie but a newbie none-the-less. I wasn't alone in hunting that place either.

Lots still there!

That's a glorious quarter there, wow!

Congrats on that Seated Q. :notworthy: Amazing shape with crisp detail. Man that one is high on my bucket list McCDig.

Thanks L-D! Think of the all that's happened since that coin was lost. I'm sure I'm not the first person to detect this hillside, but likely the first to put a coil over the right spot.....and....Bingo!

Simply awesome on that quarter,it will be hard to beat the condition of that one.

Thanks, thrifty76now. Most coins I've found are circulated, but, as you said, condition of this one is quite good; looks like F to EF.

Thanks MisterG. Research by way of maps helps for sure. Common sense can fill in some gaps.
