Found these on Friday morning, but hadn't had a chance to post yet. I gotta say I'm jealous of all pics that people post of the pristine Indians they pull from the ground. As you can see the soil here beats them to hell and back. One can't be dated and the other is 186_. Can't pull the last number. The two wheats are '27 & '42. Then there's the button...I would guess it's a navy button, but it's not my area of expertise. Anyone know for sure what it is? Thanks and happy hunting!

I hear ya when you see some of the fine Indians people pull here, I dug a 1900 Indian head last week in a school yard and the soil here took its toll on it :-\. I would be interested also on that button, I dug one about 8 years ago along the river here and never really followed up on it.

While those pristine Indians may be more desirable, there is just something about those old tattered-battered-beat to hell coins that I find intriguing.
I think they are quite pretty! Nice saves!

Nice button! As you suspected, it is a Navy and dates to around 1830. I found two just like it in one day over a year ago, but not one before or since!
