Did people hand make these back them because it's definitely handmade I think the circle mirror was a old car side mirror

I'd put it at mid / late 70s up to current. A lot of hypnotists had ceiling tile sized ones in their offices. Do a search on Instructables and you'll find several plans to make them. Also, you have to remember there were a lot of shops making these when making hash pipes from recycled phone pole wood & custom cabinet jobs slowed down. Oh by the way! Hypnosis doesn't work to quit smoking! Just ask the company I worked for. They sent over 40 of us ($55 each) & within a month all of us were back out by the dumpsters having a smoke!

You could buy them at head shops, service merchandise, world bazar etc in 1970, I know. Some could even be wired into your amp to pulse with the beat:headbang:

Wow! never saw the pulsing ones! Now I want one! Knew a girl that would look at the lights hooked up to the stereo and almost immediately fall on her donkey! She didn't know till years later she had some mild form of epilepsy!
