I found in a thrift shop, 10"x5" without the lid..... weighs 4.5 lbs with lid. It acid tests as silver but could be silver plated.

The lid and handle on top of lid is also one solid piece, no seam, no screw.

Nice find! I have not located the exact item in one piece yet although I have found two of the lids for sale...one for $500 and this outrageous asking price. Ercuis Cover For Vegetable Dish | Gracious Style

It should be described as a covered vegetable dish. I can't see the marking well enough to distinguish what they say. I'll keep looking!

I added another picture, top looks close..

I paid $24.00 for both dish and lid..

I like the marks, but in that small oval above the word Ercuis what does it have in it? Looks like a number, but I can't zoom in on it. Could maybe be a pictorial mark. ??

Looks like either 98 or 88 in that circle

You might try Replacements.com We have had good luck there finding replacements for some of our silver place settings we received when we got married. Good luck!

Under magnifying glass it looks like 88, it is extremely small, I used 10x power loop....

Found a 12x loop, still looks like 88. After some research I found info that says 88 is Russian stamp for 91.66% silver. Zolotnik Russian Silver, but i have no idea if it is related in anyway..
